The impact of breast cancer doesn't stop after surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Breast cancer can have an influence on every corner of your life.

Many issues arise following treatment for breast cancer, but these issues don't often get the time or attention required during the initial treatment phases.


I firmly believe that to achieve optimal quality of life following a diagnosis of breast cancer we need to empower the patient and their carers with up to date education and treatment techniques - not just for breast cancer, but for the side effects of breast cancer treatment. Most people don't realise that surviving breast cancer is often just the beginning.

Janet Walters, here at Nepean Physio Clinic, is an expert in breast cancer physiotherapy and has studied under Jen McKenzi. Janet has a special interest in working with women who have had or are going through surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy. Patients may also have shoulder, neck, chest pain or stiffness, resulting from their cancer treatment.
